Guppi is Lead Organiser for the European arm of the New Economic Organisers Network (NEON). She is leading the network development across Europe by running training events that bring together organisers from unions, faith groups, NGOs and grassroots organisations whose work supports the emergence of new economy.

Guppi’s  academic expertise are in public health: graduating in Global Health Science at Oxford University. She has spent most of her career working with Oxfam GB among other groups such as Common Cause,, 38 Degrees, Centre for Sustainable Healthcare and Medact. She co-ordinated the International Robin Hood Tax campaign for over three years. In 2006 she co-founded Healthy Planet, helped set up the UK Youth Climate Coalition in 2008-2009, led a rally of over 40,000 people by shouting down a megaphone from the top of a bus during the Climate Wave in 2009 and starred in a documentary alongside David Attenborough!

She has written for the Guardian, New Statesman and Open Democracy and remains vocal @guppikb. She’s also a potter, bread baker, African dancer with an interest in Indian political movements.
